• Salary: $38.20/hr or $41.78 based on the type of license held
• Schedule: Day shift (6AM-3:30PM Mondays to Thursdays; 6AM-2:30PM on Fridays)

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Etobicoke, as the Truck Mechanic:

1. Ensure that all aspects of service and repair meet the required standards as set out by the Cascades Recovery + Preventive Maintenance Program.
2. Ensure that all service and maintenance practices meet the regulatory requirements for the MTO, MOL, and the MOE. Work with Lead hands to coordinate and control the daily scheduling of service and repair of all road and plant equipment.
3. Complete all required Preventative Maintenance and Repair documents, including inventory part numbers, and submit them daily to the Lead hand.
4. Provide all necessary tools to complete repairs on all Cascades Recovery road fleet and plant equipment.
5. Assist in controlling parts inventory, ensuring levels are within the predetermined minimum/maximum.
6. Ensure all service and material purchases comply with Cascades Recovery+ Purchase order procedures.
7. Record all inventories on work documents for effective inventory control.
8. Receive stock inventory from suppliers and allocate properly by BIN locations as outlined by Lead hand.
9. Maintain a clean and organized garage, focusing on safety.
10. Ensure all safety equipment related to vehicles and garage equipment are in good working condition.

Qualifications:

• Valid G class Ontario Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the transportation industry
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in truck/trailer maintenance
• 310T Truck and Coach certificate; 310S considered with significant diesel truck mechanic experience
• Valid certification in good standing
• Computer literacy
