Job summary

Petstock Group is seeking a motivated driver to join our distribution team in Ontario. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, maintaining logs, securing cargo, and processing orders with strong attention to detail.

The role emphasizes safety, stock control, and flexible hours within a collaborative warehouse environment. Ideal candidates hold an HC/HR license, have at least two years of Heavy Rigid Vehicle experience, forklift know-how is a plus, and are committed to delivering

Qualifications

  • Must hold HC or HR License.
  • Minimum two years’ experience driving a Heavy Rigid Vehicle.
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience or exposure to chain of responsibility is valued.
  • Physically fit for lifting up to 20 kg and manual handling.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks and assist with loading equipment such as forklift.
  • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service status per regulations.
  • Secure cargo using straps, gates, or covers.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch orders to high standards and pick rate.
  • Assist with stock control: receiving, cycle counts, stock replenishment.

Job description

Integral to providing the best customer service in our stores & to our online customers and the success of our supply chain, starts at our distribution centres! We’re on the lookout for a committed, experienced driver who is looking for a change to a company with a great culture, someone looking at a career move into the transport Industry, or someone with limited experience looking for a new career path.

A day in the life…
  • Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary such as forklift
  • Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations
  • Secure cargo for transport, using straps, gates, or covers
  • Picking, Packing & Dispatching of orders to a high standard and pick rate
  • Assist with all stock control processes, including receiving inwards goods, cycle counts etc
  • Work with the team to achieve stock integrity through stock replenishment, date expiry checks, stocktakes etc
  • General warehouse duties as directed
  • Manual labour & repetitive lifting throughout your shift
What We Need…
  • HC or HR License
  • Minimum two years’ experience driving a ‘Heavy Rigid Vehicle
  • Be committed to working safely and adhering to our health & safety policies
  • Experience or exposure to chain of responsibility
  • Forklift License preferred but not essential
  • Physically fit as you may be lifting stock weighing up to 20kg
  • A commitment to providing great customer service
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities
