Job Details

Location: St. Thomas, ON N5R 0H9
Salary: $28.50 hourly / 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time (Day, Morning, Weekend)
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible
Vacancies: 5 vacancies

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Responsibilities

Tasks:

1. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
2. Load and unload goods
3. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
4. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
5. Perform brake adjustments
6. Perform emergency roadside repairs
7. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle
8. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
