1. Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
2. Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism in customer service.
3. Load and unload goods.
4. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
5. Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
6. Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
7. Perform preventive maintenance.
8. Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
9. Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
