Job summary

A mining company in Ontario is seeking a Truck & Coach Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. Candidates should have a valid Ontario 310T certification, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety standards. This role offers a dayshift schedule with 12-hour shifts, emphasizing teamwork and a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy-duty vehicles or mining equipment.
  • Experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset.
  • Mine Common Core Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on surface equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and brakes.
  • Maintain detailed service records in compliance with safety regulations.

Company Information

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on surface equipment such as haul trucks, service trucks, and utility vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and braking systems.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain detailed service records in compliance with safety regulations and mine standards.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize equipment servicing and minimize downtime.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols and participate in continuous safety improvements.
  • Operate lifting and hoisting equipment as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance shop and work areas.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification or Qualified Apprentice (required).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy-duty vehicles or mining equipment.
  • Experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G minimum).
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards. Working underground is mandatory.
  • Mine Common Core Certification is an asset.

Shift Schedule

  • Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, 7 days on 7 days off.
