A leading company in the Halton Region is seeking a licensed Truck and Coach Technician 310T for a supervisory role. This full-time position involves maintaining and diagnosing a fleet of trucks and trailers, leading a team, and ensuring safety inspections are completed. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical trades, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed 310T Mechanic required.
• Experience in mentoring and leading a team preferred.
• Very good English communication skills are necessary.

• Maintaining company owned equipment, diagnosis truck-trailer systems and fleet vehicles. Approx. 50 trucks and trailers
• Supervise the maintenance of all heavy duty equipment (eg. Forklifts, Tractors)

• Hydraulic repairs and service
• Adjusts and relines brakes on all truck / vehicles and trailers when required
• Schedule repairs & maintenance based on time, mileage while coordinating fleet availability
• Communicate with drivers to help minimalize preventable road / vehicle issues.
• Train apprentice mechanic, assists other mechanics
• Performs test drives on vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working safely
• Paperwork at the completion of each fleet repair
• Source & order all parts / supplies for inventory and repair
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certificate licensed 310T Mechanic
• Experience mentoring and supervising a Team or experience leading to becoming a Team Lead.
• Post-Secondary related to field (Preferred)
• Very good English Communication skills, written and verbal
• Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic troubleshooting abilities
• Own on tools an asset
