Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

Tronosjet Maintenance Inc (TJM) is looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentices/ Technicians for completion of Heavy Maintenance at our Slemon Park facility in Summerside, PEI. Apprentices/ Technicians will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for performing aircraft inspections, troubleshoot defects and carry out rectifications per OEM and Transport Canada standards. TJM performs Heavy Maintenance on the following Aircraft types BAe 146/ Avro RJ, Dash 8 100 200 300 Q400 , ATR 42/72 Aircraft.

  • Maintain aircraft systems, including airframe, propulsion, and avionics equipment inspection and repair.
  • Assemble, modify, and repair various aircraft components and assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify problems and adjust/repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures.
  • Perform and document scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance as dictated by the manufacturer per our customer request.
  • Dash 8/BAe146 heavy maintenance.

Required Qualifications.

  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution would be an asset
  • Related work experience in an aviation environment with a strong mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Work effectively independently, and as part of a team.
