Job summary

Canopy Growth in Tiverton, ON is seeking a detail-oriented Cannabis Trim Technician to hand or machine trim medical grade cannabis. You will conduct quality checks, record weights, and perform MJ Freeway transactions while maintaining clean workspaces and adhering to SOPs.

The role requires keen attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a loud, confined space with a team or independently. MMAR experience is a plus; regular shift duties apply.

Qualifications

• Solid manual dexterity with scissors, snips and sheers.
• Ability to follow SOPs to ensure product consistency.
• Willingness to perform varied tasks as required.
• Experience in a similar cannabis processing setting is a plus; MMAR experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Hand trim or machine trim cannabis for processing.
• Perform quality control inspections of final trimmed product.
• Record and transact in MJ Freeway software.
• Transfer plants to appropriate locations and create batches.
• Maintain weights for pay-for-performance tracking.
• Label pots and operate equipment per SOPs.
• Keep washbay, grow and dry rooms clean and organized.
• Data entry and log records; assist other departments as needed.
• Take part in shift duties and adapt to different shifts.

Come join us.**The Opportunity**Reporting to the Post-Harvest Manager, this position is responsible for the trimming (manicuring) of medical grade cannabis at Canopy Growth’s Tiverton facility. The successful candidate must be organized and have an eye for detail.**Responsibilities*** Hand trim or machine trim product to prepare it for the next stage of processing.* Conduct quality control inspections of final trimmed product.* Perform MJ Freeway software transactions.* Transfer plants to appropriate location.* Create batches and waste packages.* Record and maintain weights for pay for performance spreadsheet.* Apply labels to individual pots, lifting up to 50lbs.* Operating and maintaining equipment as per SOPs.* Data entry (Google Docs, Email, etc.).* Maintain a clean and organized workstation.* Ensure the washbay remains organized and all equipment is cleaned in a timely manner so that flow is not interrupted.* Clean grow rooms and dry rooms as required in accordance with SOPs.* Metal detection:* Clean and record equipment/product in the appropriate logs.* Run product through machines as prioritized by management.* Inspection of other departments as required.* Required to work a variable of different shifts.* Other duties as assigned.**Experience*** Solid manual dexterity using scissors, snips and sheers.* Ability to stay organized and follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency of product.* Willingness to perform varied tasks as required.* Experience in a similar setting / willingness to work in a loud, confined space.* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.* Comfortable with computers and data entry.* Keen attention to detail.* Previous MMAR experience considered an asset.**Other Details**This is a full-time role based out of Tiverton, ON.Shift Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM to 4:30 PMSalary Range: $38,500Benefits – extended health and dental coverage, paid vacation, and participation in our employer-supported retirement savings programWe appreciate your interest, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
