Job description

Job Title: Hybrid Full-Time Triage Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Hybrid Full-Time Triage RN to support our practice onsite, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This role involves a mix of 75% Phone Triage and 25% Coumadin Management. We are flexible regarding the work hours, offering options for 36 or 40 hours per week. As a hybrid position, it requires onsite coverage with two remote days per week once fully trained.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle patient interactions via telephone, providing advice based on clinical protocols and coordinating appropriate dispositions.
  2. Manage calls related to patient concerns, appointments, pre- and post-procedures, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills, and test results.
  3. Perform Coumadin management duties, including standing orders, dosage adjustments, patient education, and care coordination for patients on warfarin and anticoagulation procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licenses and Credentials: Valid RN license in the state; BLS certification preferred.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required; 1-2 years of ambulatory or outpatient experience preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, familiarity with EMRs, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
