Treatment Home Support Worker - Awake Nights

Empower Simcoe is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the position of Treatment Home Support Worker - Awake Nights. This is a permanent full-time role providing overnight support to residents in our Treatment Home. The role involves implementing treatment plans, supporting individuals with their needs, and ensuring safety during awake overnight shifts.

Key Details

• Work up to 42 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Starting pay rate is $33.83 per hour.
• Benefits include employer-paid EAP, health and dental coverage, group RRSP with up to 5% employer match, and paid sick and vacation leave after probation.

Minimum Requirements

• Community College Diploma in Social Services or a related field (e.g., Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Child and Youth Worker).
• Registered Behavioural Technician certificate is an asset.
• At least two years of recent full-time experience supporting adults with complex needs in community settings.
• Experience with behaviour management and supporting clinical/treatment plan implementation.

Additional Factors

• Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations using verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques.
• Proficiency in first aid, CPR, NVCI, and medication administration.
• Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals as part of a team, including data collection, goal planning, and implementing individual support plans.
• Assist with daily routines, crisis management, and household tasks.
• Participate in training and team meetings, liaise with professionals, and support family involvement.
