Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is offering a student coop internship in Corporate Treasury's Risk Initiatives & Infrastructure team in Toronto. You will help develop and maintain risk measurement processes and data infrastructure for structural interest rate, liquidity risk, and funds transfer pricing across retail and commercial banking portfolios.

You will gain hands-on experience with RBC's balance sheet, interest rate risk management, asset-liability management, and FTP practices while

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a relevant graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Quantitative Finance, data analytics, risk management).
Strong systems, computer, and database skills including MS Access/Excel, VBA, Python, Tableau and SQL.

Responsibilities

Partner with businesses to ensure product attributes are correctly captured in source systems and data feeds.
Support monthly, weekly, and daily production processes for risk measurement and FTP.
Collaborate with treasury analytics and FTP teams to implement methodologies and maintain risk processes.
Assist new business initiatives by sourcing enriched, standardized risk data.
Manage change controls to keep Treasury systems up-to-date with best practices.
Work with Finance to align risk measurement with reported results.
