Job summary

Metrie, North America's leading interior finishings manufacturer and distributor, seeks a Treasury Analyst in Vancouver to join the Finance team. You will support daily treasury operations, manage cash forecasting, and collaborate with Accounting, AR, AP, Payroll, and banking partners to ensure accurate, timely cash activities.

The role emphasizes strong controls, problem solving, and cross-functional cooperation to drive operational excellence while handling treasury transactions and reporting

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of treasury, accounting, banking operations, cash management, or related finance experience.
  • Experience performing bank reconciliations, investigating reconciling items, clearing bank G/L accounts, and preparing treasury-related journal entries.
  • Strong Excel skills with experience creating reconciliations, analyses, and recurring workpapers in a high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in control-sensitive financial processes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance teams and external banking partners.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, clear bank G/L accounts, and support accurate cash reporting.
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to resolve clearing issues, banking discrepancies, returned transactions, lockbox exceptions, and unposted deposits.
  • Prepare treasury-related journal entries and reconciliations, including bank fees, interest, foreign exchange activity, intercompany funding, and other treasury transactions.
  • Process banking transactions including wires, tax payments, intercompany transfers, positive pay uploads, stop payments, and ACH exception handling while ensuring compliance with approval controls.
  • Maintain cash forecasts, analyze forecast-to-actual variances, and collaborate with key stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Administer the corporate credit card program, including card setup and cancellations, reconciliation of card activity, expense review, and coordination of approvals.
  • Work directly with banking partners and treasury service providers to resolve issues, maintain services, and support operational banking changes.
  • Investigate and resolve treasury and banking-related issues such as misapplied payments, duplicate debits, credit card issues, banking errors, and SAP posting discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, documentation, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Support treasury reporting, audits, banking administration, and other treasury initiatives as required.

We're looking for a Treasury Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll support Metrie's treasury operations and partner closely with Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and banking partners to ensure cash activities are accurate, timely, and well controlled.

What You’ll Do:

As a Treasury Analyst, you'll play a key role in managing daily treasury operations, supporting cash flow management, maintaining strong financial controls, and ensuring the accuracy of treasury-related accounting activities. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally, and driving operational excellence.

In Officebased out of our Vancouver, BC Head Office.

KeyResponsibilities:

Who You Are:

  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage recurring deadlines while demonstrating ownership and accountability.
  • Experience with SAP and treasury-related accounting processes is preferred.
Nice to Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA, CTP, or other relevant professional designation completed or in progress.
  • Direct corporate treasury or cash management experience.
  • Experience with online banking platforms and treasury-related banking services.
  • Experience with Concur or similar expense management systems.
  • Experience administering corporate credit card programs.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-company organizations.

In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full-time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at CAD $70,000-$85,000. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location. Please note that the actual pay may vary and can be higher or lower than the posted range based on these factors.
