Qualifications

  • CFA, CPA or CTP designation or actively working towards these designations.
  • Experience working for a global entity is advantageous.

Description

Job Summary : Treasury Analyst will be supporting global treasury operations, including daily cash management across multiple jurisdictions, electronic payments, and bank documentation. Responsibilities also include digitalizing reporting processes, preparing internal presentations, and identifying process improvements, as well as TMS implementation. The role offers exposure to a global financial landscape and acts as a key backup within the Treasury function.

Compensation : $70k - $75k annually

Job Responsibilities

Gather, review and consolidate daily cash positions across multiple banks in multiple jurisdictions, and forecast daily cash requirements of the global operations

Analyze credit card activity and process all electronic payments

Maintain bank account and cheque signatory listings

Prepare bank and other financial institution documentation for account opening and compliance

Act as an online bank account administrator and monitor user access

Track movement of major global transactions including the management of cash pooling / concentration arrangements

Provide strong support to the Treasury team in the implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS) and taking a lead role in performing data input / migration and bank connectivity processes

Perform investment analysis, review holdings and their performances against benchmarks across multiple entities / geographies and highlight any overlap in risk exposures

Digitalize the investment tracking and reporting process across multiple entities, and support the Treasury team in opening new investment accounts as needed

Review and analyze bank interest income and bank service charges to ensure alignment with agreed upon agreements

Support the Treasury team in preparation of internal presentations to various stakeholders

Evaluate FX exposures and track FX activity across multiple units, and advise on natural offsets

Act as a back-up to the Treasury Manager and Treasury Analyst during their absence

Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency in treasury processes

Qualifications

Post-Secondary Degree with emphasis on Business Administration / Finance / Accounting

1 – 3 years' experience in a Corporate Treasury environment is preferred

CFA, CPA or CTP designation or actively working towards these designations

Experience working with a Treasury Management System (TMS) is preferred

Project Management and Financial Modeling experience is preferred

Experience working for a global entity is advantageous

Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint and Outlook skills
