Canadian Natural Resources Limited invites applications for a Treasury Analyst based in Calgary, AB. The role focuses on managing cash and short-term debt, with exposure to FX hedging, letters of credit, and NCIB reporting.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, including time in a Treasury role.
  • Completed a designation program (CPA or CFA).
  • Required skills include intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, strong analytical, organizational and communication skills complemented with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare short-term cash forecasts and optimize cash management.
  • Manage short-term CAD and US debt programs.
  • Execute cash investments, FX hedging, and hedge accounting documentation.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing letters of credit.
  • Support the NCIB share repurchase program and reporting.
  • Prepare Treasury activity reporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Support Treasury systems and Excel models as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external banking relationships.
  • Address ad hoc requests from Management.

In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for managing the cash and short-term debt for the company.

Please note, this position requires an early morning start time and occasional coverage of Canadian Natural office closures

Key Accountabilities:
  • Prepare short-term cash forecasts and optimize cash management
  • Management of short-term CAD and US debt programs
  • Execute cash investments, foreign exchange hedging transactions and hedge accounting documentation as appropriate
  • Manage incoming and outgoing letters of credit
  • Support the share repurchase (NCIB) program and prepare required reporting
  • Prepare reporting on Treasury activities on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Support the above functions in Canadian Natural’s treasury systems and/or excel models, as appropriate
  • Collaborate with other groups within Canadian Natural as well as support external corporate and banking relationships
  • Ad hoc requests and analysis from Management
What You Bring to the Role:
