As a Treasury Accountant, you will support Hiive's settlement process, assist with vendor maintenance and AP invoices, and contribute to bi-weekly payment runs. You will analyze the investment portfolio, calculate short-term funding needs, and assist with various Treasury administrative functions, such as opening bank accounts, analyzing bank fees, and providing trade recommendations. You will also collaborate on strategic finance projects as needed, while leveraging your strong attention to detail and financial expertise to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
Support Hiive Settlement process to facilitate back-office settlement on customer transactions
Assist with vendor maintenance, AP invoices and bi-weekly payment runs
Assist in analyzing the investment portfolio and calculating short-term funding needs
Support Treasury administrative functions, including bank account opening process, bank fee analysis, and trade recommendation
Maintain weekly cashflow forecast and cash balance update
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and Treasury-related journal entries
Supporting strategic finance projects as needed
Required Skills:
3+ years of banking operations, treasury, or related experience.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of performance
Have knowledge of US and Canadian payment rails, cash management, and accounting principles.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, and a keen interest in learning new technology are required.
Hold integrity as a principal value.
Preferred Skills:
Working towards completion of a relevant professional designation (CPA, CTP or CFA).
Experience working in a growth start-up or rapidly changing environment is considered an asset.
Experience working in the capital markets or technology industry is also considered an asset.
