Saturn has an opportunity for a full time Treasury Accountant based in the Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Supervisor, Treasury, the Treasury Accountant will be responsible for preparing and executing cash forecasting, liquidity analysis and ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operational needs.


Some specific duties and responsibilities of the Treasury Accountant include, but are not limited to:


  1. Weekly review of all treasury entries for approval to post
  2. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to Treasury activities
  3. Support in analyzing and managing the company’s liquidity position
  4. Ensure that cash is cleared on a timely basis
  5. Review daily FX rate updates
  6. Assist and support with all CRA audits as required
  7. Assist with cash and forecast analysis
  8. Assist with managing and testing of internal control testing to ensure compliance with procedure and policy
  9. Assist with creation and implementation of process improvements to Treasury procedures

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  2. CPA Designation is required
  3. 5 years of related experience
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  5. Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  6. Be a self-starter, team player with a curiosity to learn
  7. Strong organization skills
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  9. Experience with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  10. Experience in the Oil and Gas sector would be an asset
  11. Exposure to Qbyte would be an asset.
