Foothills Land Trust (FLT) is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to provide vital financial and treasury support. If you're passionate about landscape protection and have a background in accounting for non-profits, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to ecological conservation efforts in the Foothills Region. A time commitment of 5 to 10 hours per month is expected, with additional hours required during audit preparations.
Foothills Land Trust (FLT) is an Albertaland trustthat protects ecologically sensitive lands in Foothills County immediately southwest of Calgary. Land protection is accomplished mainly through the placement of conservation easements on private lands; the easements run with title in perpetuity. The FLT currently has nine (9) conservation easements covering 645 hectares of land under its protection.
FLT is looking for a volunteer Treasurer (Board Member) who can provide financial and treasury support to the Board of Directors. If you have a passion for landscapes and their protection, you will find this position very rewarding.
Main requirements are:
A time commitment of between 5 and 10 hours per month, which varies seasonally. January and February will require additional time commitment to prepare financial information for the annual audit.
