The Rights and Responsibilities Awareness Initiative (RRAI) is a registered charity dedicated to spreading legal, financial, and cultural awareness across Ontario. We conduct public awareness campaigns tailored to the identified needs of the community, ensuring individuals understand their rights and responsibilities under Canadian laws, regulations, finances, and culture. Our work fills critical knowledge gaps that many settlement agencies do not address.

Now Recruiting: Treasurer

The RRAI Board of Directors is seeking a Treasurer who is passionate about financial accountability and nonprofit governance. As Treasurer, you will oversee financial planning and reporting, ensuring transparency and fiscal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide financial oversight and support budgeting processes

Assist in financial planning, fundraising, and grant applications

Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial policies and regulations

Collaborate with the Board to align financial strategies with RRAI’s mission

Commitment & Expectations:

Board meetings are held monthly, with some work between meetings

Estimated 2 hours per month

Board terms are two years

Who Should Apply?

Individuals committed to spreading legal, financial, and cultural awareness

Professionals with experience in finance, accounting, or nonprofit management

Those passionate about community education and advocacy

Candidates from Indigenous, ethno-racial, LGBTQ+, immigrant, refugee, and differently abled communities are strongly encouraged to apply
