Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Merchandiser to maintain and execute SmartStock programs at customer locations in Calgary and surrounding areas. You will manage tote-to-rack merchandising, display rack assembly, plan-o-gram execution, rotating products, and provide merchandising services.

This full-time role requires daily travel, a valid driver's license, and a reliable vehicle. Base salary is 47k–52k CAD annually with a monthly car allowance, gas card, and phone reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle and insurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow plan-o-gram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed call routines per Sales Account Manager.
• Execute SmartStock program: racks, plan-o-gram, and merchandising.
• Identify out-of-stocks and ensure products are fresh and properly displayed.
• Travel daily to customer locations in Calgary and surrounding areas.
• Provide merchandising services and support to vendors and customers.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM (May vary based on business needs)


• Daily travel to our locations in your territory


• $47K to 52K Annually Base

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Merchandiser, you will report to the Sales Account Manager. You will be working in our customer retail locations in the Calgary and surrounding areas and be responsible for the maintenance and execution of our SmartStock Programs. Activities include but are not limited to tote to rack merchandising, display rack assembly, plan-o-gram execution, rotating product, and overall merchandising services. Your professionalism and business execution are critical contributions to driving the business forward for our customers, vendors, and ourselves. Cell phone and car allowance will be provided as well as coverage for expenses.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Maintaining a detailed and specific call routine as directed by the Sales Account Manager.


• Communicating weekly with Sales Account Manager to gain updated guidance on program execution.


• Maintenance & execution of the SmartStock program (racks/plan-o-gram/ordering, merchandising activities.


• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.


• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.


• Attending to customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.


• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.


• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.


• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.


• Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.


• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Educational


• Development (GED) certificate.


• Required to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (gas card will be provided).


• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle (snow tires may be required), and proper valid insurance.


• Must have valid insurance for work that meets minimum requirements.


• Ability to communicate effectively.


• Ability to use and understand store plan-o-gram and set instructions.


• Ability to learn how to operate a hand-held inventory control device, calculators, and computer.


• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook
