Job summary

Core-Mark, a leader in convenience retail solutions, is seeking a Merchandiser for the Lower Mainland region. You will maintain SmartStock programs in various retail locations and perform tote-to-rack merchandising, plan-o-gram execution, and product freshness checks.

The role requires full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with 100% travel across the territory. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential. Company benefits and allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn plan-o-gram instructions and store guidelines.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and execute SmartStock programs in customer locations.
• Perform tote-to-rack merchandising and display rack assembly.
• Execute plan-o-gram, rotate products, and ensure freshness.
• Weekly communication with Sales Account Manager on guidance.
• Identify display opportunities and ensure proper labeling and pricing.
• Handle customer needs and participate in expense coverage (cell phone, car allowance).

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM (May vary based on business needs)
• 100% Travel Required
• Territory: Lower Mainland (Chilliwack, Mission, Langely, Abbotsford, Surrey, Delta, New West, Burnaby, Vancouver, Po-Co, Coquitlam, Port Moody, North Van, West Van, Whistler, Squamish, Sunshine Coast.)
• $50K to $60K Annually, Depending on Experience

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Merchandiser, you will report to the Sales Account Manager. You will be working in our customer retail locations in the Lower Mainland area and be responsible for the maintenance and execution of our SmartStock Programs. Activities include but are not limited to tote to rack merchandising, display rack assembly, plan-o-gram execution, rotating product, and overall merchandising services. Your professionalism and business execution are critical contributions to driving the business forward for our customers, vendors, and ourselves. Cell phone and car allowance will be provided as well as coverage for expenses.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Maintaining a detailed and specific call routine as directed by the Sales Account Manager.
• Communicating weekly with Sales Account Manager to gain updated guidance on program execution.
• Maintenance & execution of the SmartStock program (racks/plan-o-gram/ordering, merchandising activities.
• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attending to customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.
• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
• Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Educational
• Development (GED) certificate.
• Required to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (gas card will be provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle (snow tires may be required), and proper valid insurance.
• Must have valid insurance for work that meets minimum requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to use and understand store plan-o-gram and set instructions.
• Ability to learn how to operate a hand-held inventory control device, calculators, and computer.
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook
