As a Laborer Journeyman at DN Tanks, you will be responsible for executing tasks throughout all phases of tank construction. You will set the pace of work, assist and guide other workers to perform tasks safely and with quality, and manage various responsibilities under the supervision of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Foreman.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete assignments promptly with minimal supervision, seeking clarification when needed and supporting the daily plan.
  • Understand the tank building process and identify subsequent tasks.
  • Assist in checking grade and subgrade elevations using level or transit.
  • Help with shoring erection, bracing, dismantling, and load-out of shoring materials.
  • Assist in assembling pipe and fabricating forms for pipe pits.
  • Load out the tank components including braces and shoring.
  • Train apprentices.
  • Assist with shoring installation.
  • Maintain site organization and cleanliness continuously.
  • Follow safety procedures and DN Tanks safety policies.
  • Participate in task hazard analysis reviews.
  • Identify safety hazards and engage in the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program.
  • Promote safe work practices by supervising others during work activities.
  • Adhere to the quality control (QC) program, understand construction tolerances, and report defects immediately.
  • Maintain all required certifications according to DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs.
  • Collaborate with the Field Operations Manager to establish and meet DN University training goals.
  • Integrate safety considerations into each operation, promptly addressing hazards as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across the United States as directed by the Field Operations Manager.
  • Own and maintain a set of general hand tools.
  • Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.
  • Capability to wear personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and vest.
