Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking Social Workers for remote assignments in northern Canada. The role includes QA duties, audits, and potential front-line case work in communities during six to eight weeks on-site with travel to Iqaluit.

The ideal candidate has at least two years as a registered Social Worker, a B.S.W., and active provincial registration, with willingness to travel. Collaboration with regional health centers and law enforcement is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a registered Social Worker.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work is required.
• Current valid registration with a provincial body to practice as a Social Worker.
• Ability to travel to Iqaluit, Nunavut for six to eight weeks with three weeks between assignments.

Responsibilities

• In-office Quality Assurance with all open cases and administrative work with audits.
• Utilize Matrix and administrative programs for case management.
• Provide front-line crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments when needed.
• Coordinate care with health centers/hospitals, RCMP, Family Services and educational institutions; work with Indigenous worldview.
