Are you looking for an exciting and meaningful Public Health Nursing experience in Nunavut? Are you a qualified Registered Nurse with a passion to make a difference in the lives of those you care for? Have you thought about travelling for work to expand your personal and professional growth in health care? We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time! Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks.

The Work You Will Do

  • Health Promotion, well baby / well mom programs, Immunization and community wellness programs
  • Establish and promote education programs and/or campaigns (i.e. flu shot campaigns) within the community
  • Work in a team atmosphere within an expanded scope of practice providing healthcare services to clients
  • Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan
  • Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice

Who You Are

  • You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
  • You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing
  • You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the province or territory you wish to work
  • You meet the required work experience
  • Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
