Are you seeking an exciting Mental Health Nurse experience in Canada's remote northern communities? Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing program has provided high-quality community health care solutions to Canada's North since 1997. Our Healthcare Professionals work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), providing care to community members. We hire passionate team-members from all over Canada who travel on assignments to remote northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time! Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks.

The Work You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Community Health Nurses in clinics to provide support
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Follow up and reach out to community members. Assist patients
  • In some cases, you may be the sole MHN in the community, so it is essential to be comfortable working independently with limited resources

Who You Are

  • You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
  • You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing
  • You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the province or territory you wish to work
  • You meet the required work experience
  • Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
