About the job :

The Travel and Transportation Administrator will provide support to the travel, camp and transportation team which includes liaising with employees and contractors travelling to and from the mine site, completing commercial flights, accommodations and transportation arrangements. The Administrator will also provide support with schedule, records and report management, invoice reconciliation, preparing correspondence and general data processing.

You will be responsible for these duties on any given day :

  • Provide administrative support to camp and transportation services. Coordinate domestic and international flights, hotel bookings, rental vehicles and other travel requirements for client employees and contractors, including consultants and other stakeholders; serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel related issues or concerns. Liaise with travelers and advise clients on transportation arrangements. Prepare presentations, spreadsheets and other materials to aid the department in decision making. Respond to client questions and inquiries related to transportation and escalate requests when needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer support. Demonstrate organizational skills and respond to multiple and often competing priorities. Prepare, book, follow-up and verify employee travel arrangements. Maintain and foster partnership relations.
  • Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability. Seek opportunities to improve travel, camp and transportation services. Commit to continuous learning and improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve problems collaboratively.
  • Handle administrative and office management duties. Coordinate with other admin support staff to ensure system consistency and administrative efficiency. Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels. Perform routine administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing communications.

  • Past scheduling experience - preferably in mining
  • Good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and reliability record
  • Team-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to foster strong team and client relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must reside in the Timmins / Sudbury area
