Fraser Health Authority in British Columbia seeks a Mental Health Clinician to deliver client-centered care across substance use and mental health services. You will perform intake, screening, assessment, and treatment planning, including individual and group therapy, with a focus on rapid re-engagement of clients when appropriate.

The role involves liaising with community resources, providing education to clients and families, and supporting aftercare when needed.

Formación

• Master’s degree in applicable social or health sciences such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
• Two years of recent related experience with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Eligible for registration with relevant professional association.
• Valid B.C. Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.

Responsabilidades

• Performs initial screening of referrals to determine appropriate treatment based on client needs and urgency.
• Assesses client needs via interviews and background information to determine priority of care and eligibility.
• Provides short-term interventions, follow-up, monitoring and outcome evaluation.
• Delivers individual and group therapy and develops recovery-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Establishes linkages with community resources and advocates for clients to improve access and coordination of services.
