Qualifications

  • Indigenous cultures, trauma-informed care and cultural humility are essential.
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and respectful engagement.
  • Ethical conduct, reliability and integrity with vulnerable populations.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Vulnerable Sector clearance and clean criminal record check.
  • Valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized mentorship and crisis response to adults with cognitive disabilities.
  • Assist with housing stability and access to community supports.
  • Engage clients in culturally grounded programs and activities.
  • Maintain professional documentation and follow reporting protocols.
