Job summary

Van Kam Freightways Ltd. is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager to lead safety, transportation compliance, injury management and operational risk across our transportation and warehouse operations.

You'll partner with Operations, HR, terminal leadership and frontline teams to ensure programs actually work in the real world, balancing regulatory needs with practical solutions while coaching leaders to build a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive safety, compliance or risk experience.
• Experience in trucking, logistics or warehousing industries.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and occupational safety regulations.
• Experience with NSC, Hours of Service, ELDs and driver compliance.
• Experience managing workplace injuries and return-to-work programs.
• Experience with regulatory audits and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation and workplace safety compliance programs.
• Lead inspections, coaching, safety meetings at terminals and with drivers.
• Investigate incidents and identify root causes.
• Manage injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Track safety metrics and report trends.
• Coordinate insurance program support and audits.
