Job summary

The role requires 7+ years of experience, including 2+ years in leadership, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and a strong track record in route optimization and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of drivers, driver helpers, and dispatchers.
• Conduct performance reviews, address employee concerns, and identify opportunities for team development.
• Foster a safe and productive work environment for all team members.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily delivery operations, ensuring on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with all regulations.
• Optimize delivery routes, schedules, and driver assignments to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs and identify areas for improvement in operational performance.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Investigate and address any safety incidents or accidents.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the transportation team.
• Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Address customer concerns and resolve delivery issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with delivery services.
• Financial Management: Manage transportation budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
