Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Western Canada Transportation Market Leader , this role involves leadership across our Transportation Market in Western Canada as GHD’s internal and external senior leader in the market. The Market Leader is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth with a particular focus on strategic positioning the full potential of GHD through building and developing deep client relationships.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :

  • Setting and achieving annual revenue targets for the market sector
  • Identifying prospects and generating leads
  • Position GHD for strategic opportunities
  • Lead major bids, involving the relevant Client Relationship Manager
  • Drive improvement of the return on marketing / BD investment
  • Develop and implement a Market Sector strategic marketing plan in conjunction with BGL and OM
  • Actively participating in industry bodies
  • Attending industry events
  • Presenting at industry conferences and seminars
  • Bringing leadership to the Client Engagement Teams
  • Supporting Key Client Relationship Managers and Key Client Coordinators
  • Identifying emerging clients and building sustainable pipeline
  • Develop and execute a 3-year Market Sector Strategy, providing GHD with a “whole of market sector” view and identifying trends, emerging threats and opportunities
  • Contribute to regional Business Plans
  • Identifying new opportunities and propose growth initiatives - communicate these to the business, particularly Business Group Leaders positioning for market trends
  • Contribute to succession planning, identifying capability gaps and development needs
  • Competitor intelligence and assessment
  • Coaching and mentoring staff in the sector to increase business development capability and client connectivity
  • Lead and manage client facing activities to create productive relationships that yield annual growth and revenue targets.
  • Contributing to GHD’s short and long-term profitability through Project Director responsibilities as required.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
  • Extract and prepare clear reports for internal and stakeholder review.
  • Report on key project deliverables to client stakeholders.
  • Improve tender success rates and revenue for Western Canada, working with the Western Canada leadership team and applicable BGLs and other Market Leaders.
