Job summary

leading-edge is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer in Edmonton, Alberta to advance highways and transportation infrastructure from design through construction.

The candidate will bring 4+ years of transportation engineering experience, specialised knowledge of Alberta projects, and a P.Eng. designation with APEGA. A collaborative, owner‑driven approach is expected in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 4+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations and develop designs for road and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical studies, cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, and construction drawings.
• Support road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
• Assist with construction supervision, contract administration, and construction inspection.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of reports, quantity estimates, designs, and construction documentation.
• Ensure project designs comply with applicable company and client standards, procedures, and requirements.
• Collaborate with Technologists, Designers, Engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical leadership, project management, and client management activities.
