The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Engineering, this role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing transportation and traffic engineering components of development applications such as Transportation Impact Studies, Parking Studies, and other technical reports. You will coordinate the traffic engineering components of Secondary Plans, Environmental Assessments, and manage transportation feasibility studies and operational analyses. You will be responsible for ensuring all third-party transportation plans and studies align with Town policies, design standards, and growth objectives.
As the Transportation Engineer, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
· Review development applications for transportation and traffic compliance with Town and provincial standards
· Lead and coordinate transportation planning components of Secondary Plans and major growth initiatives
· Prepare, review, and analyze Transportation Impact Studies, parking studies, and traffic operations analyses
· Manage and oversee Town-initiated transportation studies, including feasibility studies and public consultation
· Provide input into long-term transportation strategies and recommend updates to Town transportation policies and traffic by-laws
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative professional with a post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering or Applied Science or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has 5 to 7 years of progressive transportation engineering and planning experience and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with PEO.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in traffic analysis, transportation planning, and development review. We are seeking an individual with superior project management skills, a demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
The successful candidate for Transportation Engineer will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely, and after hours as required.

This position offers a salary range of $103,595.84 to $129,494.80 plus a competitive benefit package.
