Transportation Design Engineer (8107)

Overview:

A well-established civil and environmental engineering firm that has been serving the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to join their organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects while collaborating with a talented and experienced team. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.

Pay rate: $40 - $50

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams to design and deliver transportation projects at the local, state, and federal levels
• Develop roadway infrastructure solutions for projects of all sizes and complexities
• Take on a lead or supporting role in multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, or OpenRoads to create efficient, effective designs
• Contribute to geometric roadway design, quality control, and code compliance to ensure top-tier project outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) + EIT certification (minimum) or PE license
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads
• Knowledge of transportation design standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, NACTO, State DOT Manuals)
• Experience working with federal agencies (FHWA, NPS, USFS, NRCS, etc.) is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
