Job description

We are seeking an experienced Transport Trailer Technician to join our Fleet Repair and Maintenance team in Winnipeg, MB. As part of our experienced and cohesive team, the Transport Trailer Technician will be responsible for routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to our fleet of company-owned trailers of various configurations used in different applications. You will also diagnose and repair mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical system defects. Kleysen offers a safe and respectful work environment where you can build your career while applying your skills to various technical tasks.

The full-time, permanent shift offers 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Position Requirements :

  • Journeyman (Red Seal) Transport Trailer Technician preferred; experienced registered apprentices willing to complete their Red Seal are also considered (we support apprenticeships, ask us how!).
  • Journeyman Technicians will oversee and mentor apprentices in maintenance and repair of various equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Must have own tools and safety boots (allowances provided annually).
  • Must be physically fit (able to lift approximately 50 lbs., kneel, and crouch for extended periods).
  • Reliable transportation is required as our facility is outside of public transport routes.
  • Pre-employment and post-incident controlled substance & alcohol testing are mandatory as this is a safety-sensitive position.
