What to Expect:

We are looking for a Delivery Services Specialist for Nespresso based at our Montreal location reporting into the Delivery Services Manager. Ensure outstanding last mile delivery services that meets Customer expectation, and in line with Nespresso international standards and guidelines. Drive innovative and sustainable solutions, in order to deliver distinct competitive advantage for Nespresso and the Customer. Manages overall operational day to day Last Mile Delivery and Transportation, for the Nespresso Canada Market.

A day in the life of Transport Specialist (e-commerce)

Delivery Services Business Development and Innovation

  • Drive delivery services innovation and business development, implementing project portfolios and investigating industry advancements to enhance customer experience.
  • Partner with commercial teams and supply chain management to define strategies, optimize distribution networks, and ensure high service levels for all delivery operations.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of B2C parcel volumes, acting as liaison between logistics providers and carriers, and collaborate on vendor relationships and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead seasonality planning, define key performance indicators, conduct cost driver analytics, and implement cost-saving initiatives across delivery services.

Day to day parcel operations & support Vendor Management

  • Ensure day-to-day operations of B2C parcel volumes and act as a liaison between logistics providers and transport vendors.
  • Manage vendor relationships through regular reviews and performance measurements. Implement continuous improvement programs and lead seasonal planning to manage capacity.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators, benchmarking against targets and industry standards.

Cost Driver Analytics / Cost Containment and Savings

  • Responsible for analyzing Variable Distribution expense (VDE) and providing regular reporting and recommendations for cost savings.
  • Run simulations and reports to identify improvement opportunities. Implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency in Intermodal, boutique, and last-mile delivery. Coordinate business analytics to drive efficiency, optimize lead times, delivery solutions, and manage transport/trade compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with Physical Logistics, DSP, Transportation, and Procurement to drive operational optimization.

Role Requirements

  • Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market.
  • At least 4-8 years of professional experience in transport, logistics and distribution operations and Direct-to-Consumer business model/ Last Mile (logistics, distribution, customer experience).
  • Must have ecommerce and/or retail experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement
  • Experience in a fast-paced, complex global matrix organization
  • Exposure to collaborative business development projects in logistics and distribution
  • Proven track record in leading projects and initiatives effectively
  • Proficiency in using systems for logistics and distribution processes and decision-making support
  • Experience managing relationships with external providers for transport, warehousing, software tools, equipment, and packaging
