Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and safety-minded Transport Reefer Technician to join our client's maintenance team in Winnipeg, MB. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of reefer trailers and transport refrigeration units to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient fleet operations.

  • Location : Winnipeg, MB
  • Shift : 4 x10 hours per shift or 5 x 8 hours per shift
  • Job type : Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on reefer trailers and transport refrigeration units.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults on Carrier and Thermo King systems.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities in fleet maintenance software, ensuring work orders are complete and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to refine standard operating procedures and drive operational improvements.
  • Mentor and support the development of less experienced technicians through on-the-job training.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Bison's safety standards and environmental policies.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of practical experience diagnosing and repairing refrigerated transport equipment (reefer units) preferred.
  • Certified Journeyman Technician or Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanic is strongly preferred.
  • Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate and Carrier or Thermo King manufacturer certifications are considered assets.
  • Strong knowledge of digital diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License required; Class 1 or 3 considered an asset.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
