Here at Sysco, our wide, national network aims to serve thousands of cafes, restaurants and bars throughout the country that make up our customers.
Though we have always been a local organisation, being a part of Sysco means we retain an international focus that offers our employees the opportunities to learn, develop and pursue the career they have always wanted.
Sysco is delighted to support the Transport Operations & Commercial Driving Apprenticeship (CDAP). This 2 year programme is suited to those who want to pursue a career in commercial driving and want to learn about the wider aspects of the role of the commercial driver.
The programme will be delivered using a blended learning approach, with apprentices attending lectures 1 day per week online with ATU Sligo with the remaining 4 days spent embedded in our transport teams.
All CDAP apprentices will be assigned a workplace mentor who will guide the apprentice through their journey. Mentors are experienced Transport professionals with valuable industry experience, who will also be trained by ATU Sligo to carry out this important role.
During the programme you will gain first hand experience of the fast paced foodservice industry, as well as being an active member of both the Transport and Warehouse operations teams. Upon successful completion you will achieve a Higher Certificate (NFQ level 6) in Business in Transport Services as well as a C/CE driver license.
