Job description

Midland Transport is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Transport Agent Coordinator based out of our Head Office Location in Dieppe, NB.
We are seeking someone detail-oriented and proactive to serve as the key liaison between Midland Transport and our Agent Network.

Shift
Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:00pm)

Qualifications

  • You have minimum High school Diploma.
  • You have a minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in customer-facing positions. Transportation experience preferred.
  • You are fluent in both official languages English and French.
  • You have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • You are a strong Microsoft Suite user.
  • You are able to troubleshoot problems and follow through to resolution.
  • You are able to work efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to incoming customer and agent inquiries, identifying and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Tracking and tracing customer orders to ensure accurate updates.
  • Coordinating weekend or after-hours deliveries as needed.
  • Auditing, processing, and approving agent payables, including related adjustments when required.
  • Reconciling and consolidating agent payables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing agent-related freight issues involving overages, shortages, or damages.
  • Processing documentation related to customer claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Taking ownership of your daily tasks and performance.
