Job summary

University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream Associate Professor in Transnational and/or South Asian Feminisms, with complementary Diaspora Studies expertise. The successful candidate will teach in the WGSS program and hold a graduate appointment at the Women and Gender Studies Institute on the St. George campus.

The appointment start is July 1, 2027. Salary range $135,000–$160,000 CAD per annum, with negotiations beyond this range for exceptional

Qualifications

• Record of excellence in research and teaching in feminist analyses of empire, colonial/postcolonial histories, and transnational gender studies.
• Evidence of publications, invited talks, and strong letters of reference.
• Experience with graduate supervision and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an innovative research program in transnational and/or South Asian feminisms.
• Teach a broad range of WGSS courses at the Mississauga campus and supervise graduate students.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, program initiatives, and equity and inclusion.
