Job summary

BD Diesel Performance is hiring a Transmission Technician (Level I) to join our Transmission Department in Abbotsford. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a pay rate of $25 per hour and opportunities for growth in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail in assembly and inspection.
• Comfort with lifting and manual tasks up to 49 lbs.
• Experience with basic hand tools in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform parts cleaning and prepare components for assembly.
• Picks transmission cores and tears down transmissions.
• Inspect cores and surfaces and prepare casings for finishing.
• Paint casings and accessories and complete finishes for packaging.
• Train new team members and support senior staff as needed.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.

Transmission Technician (Level I)

We are currently looking for a Transmission Technician (Level I) in our Transmission Department and would love to have you as a part of our team in the effort of expanding operations.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay:

$25 / Per Hour

Requirements

• Performs parts cleaning
• Picks transmission cores
• Tears down transmissions
• Inspects cores for surface preparation, prepares surfaces
• Paints casings and accessories
• Finishes and packages transmissions
• Trains existing and new team members as required
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling, including calibration
• Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area
• Typically reports to a supervisor/manager

Ideal Candidates will have:

• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspect of this job with 1-2 years of general work experience
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, be self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude
• Manually lift and/or move items weighing up to 49lbs
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experienced with basic hand tools in a production environment
