Job summary

BD Diesel Performance is hiring a Transmission Technician (Level I) in Abbotsford, BC. The role starts with duties in cleaning parts, tearing down transmissions, and inspecting cores, with progress into finishing and packaging components. You’ll train teammates and perform basic preventive maintenance under supervision.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, at about $25 per hour. Eligible employees receive RRSP matching, incentive plans, and standard health benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of general work experience in a related role.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a team player.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 49 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs parts cleaning and prepares components.
• Picks transmission cores and tears down transmissions.
• Inspects cores and surfaces for prep work.
• Paints casings and accessories; finishes and packages transmissions.
• Trains new team members as required.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
