Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to apply expertise in line design (69 kV–765 kV), structural analysis, and component specification. The role involves 3 days per week in-office work within a hybrid schedule and collaboration across teams.
The candidate should have a Canadian ABET/CEAB‑accredited engineering degree, 1+ year of related transmission line experience, and proficiency with PLS‑CADD, PLS‑POLE, and MS Office. Additional tools like ArcGIS, AutoCAD are valued.
This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of transmission line engineering including conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations and electrical principles to design transmission lines in the 69 kV to 765 kV range, perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures, conduct conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding and induction studies, develop cost estimates and schedules and prepare specifications for procurement, specify transmission line components, model transmission lines in PLS-CADD, determine right‑of‑way requirements, calculate conductor sags, and develop transmission line plan and profile drawings.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in‑office work 3 days per week.
