Job summary

University of Manitoba's Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor starting January 5, 2027, with rank and salary commensurate with experience. This position supports translational cancer research through innovative spatial proteomics in clinically relevant tissue specimens.

The successful candidate will develop an externally funded program, collaborate with MCPSB on brain tumor projects, and pursue CIHR/NSERC

Qualifications

• Assistant Professor: PhD or MD/PhD or equivalent; >3 years postdoc; strong research productivity.
• Associate Professor: PhD or MD/PhD; PI experience; proven leadership in interdisciplinary work.

Responsibilities

• Advance spatially resolved and imaging-based proteomic strategies.
• Analyze post-translational modifications in situ across model systems and tissues.
• Build multidisciplinary translational cancer research teams and secure funding.
