Career opportunity :

We are seeking a Transition Portfolio Manager to join our Toronto location. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a team investing across a broad global mix of private market products including private equity, real estate, private credit, and infrastructure. The Harbourfront Portfolio Management team employs a holistic approach to alpha-generating strategies, utilizing both quantitative and fundamental techniques.

You will be responsible for :
  1. Meeting with high-net-worth clients to understand their financial goals and objectives, and introducing them to Harbourfront’s wealth management solutions.
  2. Serving as a subject matter expert on Harbourfront’s products and services, supporting clients and advisors with insights.
  3. Providing market commentary to help clients interpret portfolio performance within broader economic trends.
  4. Supporting advisors in navigating our product offerings to deliver high-quality service.
  5. Conducting product-level analysis within current market conditions, offering clear insights.
  6. Collaborating with the Office of the CIO on strategic initiatives and special projects.
The ideal candidate for this position has :
  • Completion of the CIM and/or CFA Level 1.
  • Licensed as a Portfolio Manager authorized to manage discretionary accounts with a CIRO-regulated investment dealer.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis or investment due diligence.
  • Experience working directly with clients in advisory or relationship management roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a long-term career commitment as a financial professional and portfolio manager.
