Job summary

Transdev Canada is seeking a dependable Store Technician to support the Hazel McCallion Light Rail Transit project in Brampton. The role involves receipt, storage, control, documentation, and distribution of parts, tools, equipment, and materials within the OMSF.

You will receive, inspect, label, and record incoming items, issue parts to maintenance staff, and maintain accurate inventory using Maximo. Valid forklift licence and Ontario G licence are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant experience in warehousing, inventory, parts, logistics, stores or maintenance support.
• Experience using Maximo or a similar computerized inventory or maintenance-management system.
• Valid forklift licence or certification.
• Valid Ontario G driver’s licence.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and electronically record incoming parts and materials.
• Issue parts, tools, equipment, and supplies to maintenance employees as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels using Maximo.
• Ensure required parts and materials are available to support Maintenance and Procurement activities.
• Organize storage areas in accordance with approved storage-management procedures.
• Coordinate deliveries, warranties, returns, damaged goods, and defective materials with vendors.
• Track tool inspections, certifications, and required documentation.
• Ensure hazardous materials are properly identified, documented, stored, and handled.
• Operate a forklift, other approved material-handling equipment, and safe lifting practices in indoor and outdoor areas.
• Follow all company policies, site procedures, WHMIS requirements, and applicable health and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
