Job summary

Transdev Canada is seeking a dependable Store Technician to support the Hazel McCallion Light Rail Transit project in Brampton. You will receive, store, document, and distribute parts, tools and materials for the OMSF, ensuring accurate records and compliance with WHMIS and safety standards.

Reporting to the Rolling Stock Manager, you will use Maximo for inventory control, operate a forklift, and coordinate with maintenance and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of warehousing, inventory, parts, logistics, stores, or maintenance support experience.
• Experience using Maximo or a similar inventory/maintenance-management system.
• Valid forklift licence or certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, label, and electronically record incoming parts and materials.
• Issue parts, tools, equipment, and supplies to maintenance employees as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels using Maximo.
• Ensure required parts and materials are available to support Maintenance and Procurement activities.
• Organize storage areas in accordance with approved storage-management procedures.
• Coordinate deliveries, warranties, returns, damaged goods, and defective materials with vendors.
• Track tool inspections, certifications, and required documentation.
• Ensure hazardous materials are properly identified, documented, stored, and handled.
• Operate a forklift, other approved material-handling equipment, and safe lifting practices in indoor and outdoor areas.
• Follow all company policies, site procedures, WHMIS requirements, and applicable health and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
