The Corporation of the Town of Midland is seeking a Transit Driver to join our municipal services team. You will operate transit vehicles on scheduled routes, collect fares, and ensure transfers are valid.
Daily inspections and reporting of any issues are required, with shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, and holidays. Qualifications include an Ontario B/C or F license with Z endorsement and 2–3 years of commercial driving experience.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract, in accordance with the duties of this position.
This full-time position is an existing vacancy and offers competitive total compensation including an hourly wage of $25.02 to $30.41, 35 hours per week. Shifts include early mornings, late evenings, nights, and holidays.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Facilities & Transit, the Transit Driver will be responsible for safely operating transit vehicles in accordance with applicable legislation, including during adverse road and weather conditions, on a designated route and schedule. This role is responsible for collecting fares, issuing transfers, and ensuring the validity of transfers and passes. The Transit Driver will perform daily inspections, monitor vehicle performance, and report any irregularities to Operations.
