About the role

Please note: This is a temporary 12 month term opportunity.

As ATB Wealth’s next Specialist I, Transfers, you will serve as a vital bridge between daily transfer operations and technical execution across our wealth platforms. Over this 12-month term, you will act as a citizen developer and systems analyst to build robotics solutions, optimize operational workflows, and support strategic and regulatory initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Transfers, your work will directly mitigate operational risk, improve processing efficiency, and elevate the service experience for our advisory partners and clients.

Accountabilities

• Act as a citizen developer within Transfers to identify, analyze, and build robotics and automation solutions that streamline workflow efficiency.
• Bridge business operational needs with technical execution by collaborating directly with developers, product owners, and end-users during discovery, design, and deployment.
• Support key strategic and regulatory initiatives.
• Analyze operational procedures, system workflows, and processing trends to make actionable recommendations for process improvements.
• Develop test cases, conduct functional testing, and facilitate implementation support for new system features and automation scripts.
• Connect and cultivate productive working relationships across Transfers, Advisory Services, and external partner networks.
• Coach and mentor junior team members on new technical tools, updated compliance rules, and optimized processing procedures.
• Maintain a deep knowledge of wealth operational platforms, specifically Dataphile and Salesforce.
• Leverage your knowledge of the wealth management industry to promote efficient and effective operational support.
• Recognize and analyze problems through several lenses, identify gaps and themes in process, and be part of the solution.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical transfer issues, collaborating across operational and advisory teams to investigate root causes and recommend resolution.

Skills, experience & requirements

• 3–5 years of experience within the financial services/securities industry, with specific knowledge of wealth operations and transfers processes.
• Practical exposure or strong aptitude for citizen developer tools, robotics process automation (RPA), or systems analysis.
• Intermediate to advanced technical proficiency, including strong hands-on experience with Dataphile, Salesforce, and the Google Suite.
• Applied understanding of project methodology, requirements gathering, and test script execution.
• Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset—you are naturally compelled to make processes better.
• Proven ability to work under high-pressure situations to deliver results while managing competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of effectively facilitating team training and updates.
• Post-secondary education in business, information systems, or equivalent industry experience are an asset.
