Transfer Machine Labourer

Full-time Transfer Machine Labourer - New Hamburg, ON
Location: 70 Heritage Drive, New Hamburg, Ontario

Now is a very exciting time to join the Maple Leaf family. Maple Leaf Foods is located in New Hamburg, ON. Currently, the New Hamburg Hatchery has the ability to hatch approximately 1,000,000 chicks per week. Our work includes everything from receiving eggs from our farms to distributing chicks to many growers across the province.

Position Details:

• Running Transfer Equipment until job duties are completed
• Sanitation of Transfer Equipment
• Continual housekeeping of work area
• Lifting Disposal of egg waste containers
• Transfer paperwork for documentation
• Able to work varying & flexible hours until job completion
• Commitment to work as part of a team with mandatory rotation
• Machine start up and shut down
• Continuous sanitation of setter racks
• Fast-paced team continuous run time
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be capable of performing physically demanding line work
• Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending, lifting
• Must be capable of lifting 50lbs repetitively (overhead lifting required)
• Must be able to work in a wet/humid environment
• Must be able to work in small groups with minimal supervision
• Must be able to move full Setter Racks of eggs for the transfer
• Must be able to follow SOP’S, HACCP Requirements & schedules
• SHIFT: Full Time – Monday, Tuesday (afternoon) & Friday, Saturday (day)
