WELL Health Diagnostic Centres seeks a Transcriptionist to edit, verify terminology, format, and enter finalized medical reports into the EMR. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate, complete documentation supporting patient safety and care continuity.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of related experience in medical transcription.
• Current CPR certificate and AED are assets.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuing education and training.

• Cheerful, positive attitude with respect for colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit speech recognition drafts for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
• Verify patient demographics are complete and correct.
• Listen to dictated audio to verify content and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure correct medical terminology, spelling, abbreviations and phrasing.
• Apply formatting standards and templates to all reports.
• Identify inconsistencies or missing information and correct them.
• Enter finalized reports into the EMR system with accurate patient matching.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow privacy and documentation policies.
• Communicate with physicians or team members for clarification when needed.

Working closely with physicians and healthcare professionals, this role focuses on editing,verifying terminology,formatting, andentering finalized reportsinto the EMR. The successful candidate will help maintain documentation standards that support patient safety, continuity of care, and organizational compliance.

Responsibilities:

This role is for an existing vacancy. Final compensation is determined based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
